President Yoon Suk Yeol attended the ‘Declaration Ceremony of the Future Space Economy Roadmap’ held at JW Marriott Hotel in Seoul at 3 p.m. on November 28. More than 150 officials from domestic and foreign space-related organizations and companies attended the ceremony. 
 
 President Yoon announced the ‘Future Space Economy Roadmap’, which contains the policy direction until 2045 for the Republic of Korea to become a space economy powerhouse. 
 
 President Yoon stressed that a country with a vision for space could lead the world economy and solve the problems facing mankind in the future. President said that dreams for a space powerhouse will not be a distant future, but an opportunity and hope for children and young people.
 
 President Yoon promised to present future generations with the resources of the moon and the home of Mars, suggesting a roadmap for developing an independent projectile engine that can fly toward the moon within five years, landing on the moon in 2032, and landing on Mars in 2045. To realize it, Presidentsuggested six policy directions and support measures:
1.Exploration of the Moon and Mars 2.Leaping forward as a space technology powerhouse 3.Fostering space talent 4. Realizing space security 6.Leading international cooperation.
 
 Adding to that, the Korea Aerospace Exploration Agency, composed of experts and projects, will be established.The president will personally chair the National Space Commission to prepare for the era of the space economy. From that day on, a promotion team for the establishment of the Korea Aerospace Exploration Agency was launched within the Ministry of Science and ICT and began preparing for the opening of the Korea Aerospace Exploration Agency in earnest. 
 
 Following President Yoon's announcement, an event was held to announce the "joint declaration for realizing the space economy" to strengthen the willingness of major domestic space development companies to actively participate in opening the era of the Korean space economy. More than 70 leading domestic space development companies, including Hanwha Aerospace, LIG Nex1 and KT SAT, participated in the announcement of the joint declaration
